Join a Committee
Our committees join board members and community members to help plan events, review marketing, analyze financials, and work together for the health of Highline Schools Foundation. Our committees are also where we find our next trustees.
This committee oversees and directs the fundraising activities including the annual fundraising events (Gold Star, Brat Trot, and Oktoberfest) as well as donor solicitation, acknowledgement and stewardship.

This committee assists the Trustees in meeting their fiduciary responsibilities by scrutinizing the financial statements; reviewing tax reports; developing and implementing the budget; reviewing accounting and investment procedures and policies; and ensuring the regular and timely audit of the accounts of the Foundation. The Committee, chaired by the Treasurer and staffed by the Business Manager, operates in a manner consistent with our bylaws.

This committee guides the work relating to communicating with donors, stakeholders, and others. They help plan newsletters and official communications, social media platforms, online presence, and contact with media. Goal: Increase awareness of the Foundation in the community.

This committee evaluates existing Foundation programs, oversees program expansion or development, and facilitates board conversations about the programs. This committee also oversees the Excel and Impact grant process – reviewing applications and selecting recipients.
