The Gold Star Breakfast is the Highline Schools Foundation’s biggest fundraising event of the year, helping us raise critical funds that give us the opportunity to provide a variety of programming throughout Highline Public Schools. We are able to provide school supplies and basic needs to students throughout the district, boost innovative learning in classrooms and libraries through Excel and Impact Grants, and pivot quickly to new and emerging needs as they arise.

2024 Gold Star Fundraising Breakfast

Our 2024 Gold Star Breakfast was a fantastic morning, filled with celebration and thanks. Early tallying shows us raising an incredible $82,000 this morning, with more to come from matching gifts and corporate donations. Thank you to all who attended and made a gift to Highline Schools Foundation!

From honoring our Founding and early Trustees, to celebrating our 2024 Gold Star Winners — including some incredible videos produced by HPS, we are truly fortunate to have so much to celebrate in Highline. During the breakfast, we heard from Ann Crossler’s husband Steve about the beginnings of the Foundation, Sean Goode shared the myriad ways his time in Highline helped shape the person he has become, and Dr. Duran spoke about the culture of belonging and innovative learning that guides our work today. Thanks for your patience with our technical issues, and special thanks to 2024 Gold Star Outstanding Teacher Erin Enquist for the willingness to step to the microphone and tell her story.
